This wonderful 5 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the legendary sea monster: the Kraken. The coin has Ultra High Relief, has Antique Finish quality, a Double-Colored Translucent Enamel, an Oval shape and comes in a case, together with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of only 111 pieces worldwide. The reverse of the coin shows a very gory scene: the Kraken’s attack on a ship. Its very long tentacles can be seen assaulting the deck of the merchant ship, leaving no chance for the poor people travelling on it. The monster in the meanwhile is clearly visible in the sea, we can see the open eyes and the very detailed tentacles. The seawater in this coin is depicted in two colours: blue to represent the ocean, the place where this monstrous animal is wont to reap its victims, and red for the blood gushing from the ship following the Kraken’s attack.
