2023 Australian Wombat 1 oz .9999 fine silver coin in capsule

Obverse: The obverse is adorned with a right-facing portrait of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the dates “1952-2022” positioned above in remembrance of her history-making seventy-year reign. A broad border containing the additional inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” and “1 DOLLAR” encircles the effigy. This final definitive coinage portrait of the late monarch was designed by award-winning British sculptor Jody Clark in 2015.

Reverse: A wombat is depicted curled up and blissfully napping on the reverse while a tiny bird rests upon its back. The pair is surrounded by clusters of wildflowers in bloom. Inscribed “WOMBAT,” “2023 1 OZ 9999 SILVER,” and the “P” Mint mark.
